So why?

Why my heart isn't there anymore?

(I mean in comic books and drawing...)

Maybe it hasn't been there for a while...

For a long time...

And the reason(s)?

Well, the reasons, wrong or right are those:

(well, those I figured out)

-The time it takes to make a book.

People may not know the time it takes to make a book, a drawing, a painting...

My mother told me once how much she was surprised how long it took to make one page, one book. People, I mean most people, don't know the time it takes to make a drawing. They assume it flows effortlessly out of your hand with no time.

-The time that other projects take.

Yup because I have a lot of ideas... Not only in the drawing area of expertise.

Of course, I have plenty ideas for this serie, but also for other comic book series, but also children books, illustrations, paintings...

But also in music, even thought I suck at it and I have to learn a lot and practice a lot...

-The lack of money to finance the books.

 I like to know where I am going, to plan things. I know things will not go the way I planned, but still, when I know where I am going, I can deal with the hickups later and better.

And as for now the money is a bit tight and this book is selfpublished...

I have to pay for the flats, a stock of books...

Which brings us to the next problem... 

-The lack of reconnaissance.

 I draw these and sometimes I wonder "what does it bring me?"

I take the time to bring these to life, I put money in it...

And then...

Then?

Then I wished more people would read it.

More people would get to know it.

But...

I am not good at promoting.

And there are a lot of books published.

I should do more...

But maybe I am lazy, maybe it's not me, maybe I'm scared...

So I don't.

And I keep wishing it would bring some money.

If at least it would cover the fees and bring 1000$...

But no sales, no money...

And at some point it starts piling up...

This may look like a crybaby list,

but hey, I am trying to keep this blog alive...

And to share also the reasons,

but also to get things out of my mind in a way...

Unbelievable!

So, to be honest, there is not only the financial aspect that's delaying the release(s)...

I have many many interests aside...

On which I am working too...

For which I need to learn new stuff and practice...

And my heart is still here but also there...

Mostly there if I am honest.

"Why?" You may ask...

Because...

I feel stuck with this project.

Stuck? After almost three books?

With scenarios for more books in this serie?

For plenty more stories?

Well, I should continue working on volume 4...

And at one point complete the texts of volume 3...

So when will they be released?

Well, in order to cut losses, I'll release not a book at a time...

But few books at a time!!!

Yup! You read it right!

I plan to release volume 3 & 4 at the same time!

I will be available as usual through me, Blurb and Amazon etc.

I know, it's been a while...

And I don't know how many people still come here...

Since somehow I am not sure blogs are still trending...

Especially those which are not updated for a long time...

So! What's been going on?

Well, without going into details, let's say that some changes in my personal life happened,
so I am not able finacially (for now) release the third volume as I planned...

And as I don't know when or how...

It kinda broke my enthousiasm for my comic books...

But still!

Beside the texts, volume 3 is complete.

And about volume 4, I am already starting!

Like I announced a while ago, I changed some of the technique.

For inking, I switched to real ink...

But I have to say that I still hate inking!!!

 Twelve pages are already inked.

34 to go!

And 2 or 3 are already pencilled...

What will happen next then?

Well, you'll know with next post!

(Don't worry I'll write it just after this one, so you won't have to wait too long!)

Well...
Well, well, well...
This is a long overdue post...
Which was intended for October the 16th...
 But wasn't completed until...
Now!

Soooo....
Things haven't been moving forward that much...

At least for a while...

Volume 4 is started...
Something like 10 pages are already pencilled and inked...
With a change of technique...
We'll see where it will lead us...

But what about volume 3?
When will it be completed?
When will it be released?
Honestly it won't be released in 2017...

About completing it...

Well, a few days ago,

I still had something like 33 pages left...

And now 12...

So maybe all the pages  will be completed before or on monday...

The texts are partially written (in French), not yet translated...

But I think as I won't be able to release it for New Year's Eve,

that I'll completed by the end of January...

At least the texts part...

So with time for correcting the texts, march sounds about right

for the release of #3!!!!

In the mean time I hope I'll be able to continue

working on #4!

At some point I'll scan/clean/frame the pages that are done

so they could be partially colored...
Probably in March...

After that as soon as I get them back I'll prepare them
and probably strat some in April if possible...

And spoiler alert, volume 5 should get in the works soon after that...

So that's it for now...

A little update about the album.
Well it's been a month since I worked on it...
At first for some happy reasons...
But then a sad one...

Anyway, starting from mid october, I'll get back to work.
Or at least will try to...
And as soon as possible, I'll try to start album #4.
The story is written, just need to complete the layout of the page...
Then pencil, ink and color...

I still hope #3 will be out for the end of the year...

And now about the music!
After I posted last video I thought of this band Unsun, whose second album is so great...

And the great tragedy that Aia can't sing anymore...

So sad...
